Individual Therapy

For children, teens, and adults, individual therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and make sense of what’s going on. Whether it’s intense emotions, anxious thoughts, identity questions, or just feeling off, individual therapy helps bring clarity, relief, and direction where it’s needed most. Each session is guided by clinical insight and tailored for what’s most effective for the client — combining warmth, structure and a steady focus on meaningful and lasting change.

Family Therapy

Sometimes challenges show up in relationships, not just individual lives. Family therapy helps identify patterns, shift dynamics, and rebuild connection. It’s a chance to be heard, to understand each other more fully, and to move forward with more clarity, compassion, and trust.

Tailored work for tangible change

Our approach draws from well-established, research-based approaches — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training — woven together with integrative methods that honor each person’s needs and style. For younger clients, that might include elements of play therapy. For others, it may involve parts work or a deeper focus on emotional regulation and self-understanding. There’s no one-size-fits-all formula here. The work is flexible, responsive, and shaped by the relationship we build — because what works best is what fits you.

Ready to meet your best self? Let's start the journey

“Jen will reach out to whomever works with her client in school, or any other environment, in order to gain a complete picture… There truly are no words to express how much Jen has helped our son and what she means to our family. We would follow her to the moon and back if necessary.”

“You know when you can just look across the room at someone — without shaking or nodding your head —  and being able to communicate exactly what you are thinking to them? It’s very, very rare that someone —  a therapist —  gets to know you and your family so well that this is the case. But that is the person that Jen Pearlman is to our family.

Jen has worked with our son for more than eleven years — since he was 14 years old in a school environment —  through his transition to a young man and through her transition to a private practice. We would follow her to the moon and back if necessary.

I think that it is very significant that Jen began her years as a therapist in a school, because that gives her  accurate insight into the unique challenges that an adolescent may face in that environment. A therapist sees a person and that person’s interaction with his or her family, but that is only a part of what makes up the patient’s world. School is a significant component that cannot be ignored, and Jen will reach out to whomever works with that person in school, or any other environment, in order to gain a complete picture. Jen gets to know her patients and the family very well, as well as any significant others in her patient’s life, and she is thorough.

Jen is also very warm and loving and she is quick to smile and laugh. She also offers specific, concrete suggestions to help address particular issues and situations. Jen is intuitive, and she “reads a room” like no other therapist I have ever worked with. It’s hard to say if that is her best quality, but it’s at or near the top.

There truly are no words to express how much Jen has helped our son and what she means to our family. We are blessed that she was placed in our path, and we continue to be so twice a week every week.”
